The goal of Torpedo Trump is to make the opposition to Trump more robust, effective and successful.  His crimes against American Democracy need to be countered with our most effective strategies and tactics, not just ridicule and outrage. There are thousands of places on the Internet you can express your revulsion at the damage Trump and his acolytes are doing to the U.S. government. Some tactics, like a Constitutional amendment or impeachment, are dead ends.  Other actions we might take can be far more potent. 

Here are two examples of what we mean: We are not likely to be able to gain a majority in the Senate unless Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear runs to replace Mitch McConnell.  But Beshear isn’t interested, signalling instead he plans to run for president.  Sign our petition to urge him to run.  No one not named Beshear has won statewide in many years and no one else can win statewide in Kentucky. Help him see that being the 51st Democratic Senator would be a brilliant achievement.  After that, fine, he can run for president with the support of every Democrat in the U.S.

The other petition is to pledge to turn out for a mammoth protest march in DC to demonstrate our strength. We ask only that you promise to come to DC for that day. We will collaborate closely with others to bring a huge protest to pass.  It is our most difficult, time-consuming and expensive tactic, but also our most potent.

Read, appreciate and post to social media sites about your disgust and fear of Trump’s unlawful activities.  Bear in mind, however, that posting comments online is personal expression and therapy.  It is not political action.  Like other mass movements this one is easy to join but difficult to organize.  If when assemble together can radically change political dynamics.
